Stories of Hope
A retreat participant shares what Pain With Purpose has meant in her life.
Pain with Purpose has caused me to view life from a different perspective. I now believe my life serves a purpose for something greater in the future.
When you experience trauma and continue to keep going without dealing with the past, who you are becomes a mere reflection of that trauma until you can no longer see yourself in the mirror. This ministry has helped me look in the mirror and see purpose over my life instead of only pain.
Although it can be difficult to fathom that this is really who I am in God, I am encouraged each time I attend the retreat. It has helped reassure me of my path and strengthen my sense of calling as layers and layers of pain have been peeled away.
I am grateful to the staff and especially the founder. In spite of life’s hardships and moments of weakness, she recognized that the pain she encountered served a purpose. She continues to pour into others and show them that true healing brings forth joy on the other side.
The promise of my life has been fulfilled, and we call her Ezri Destiny Harris, born July 7, 2026.
