What we do
Pain With Purpose Ministries, Inc. is a Mississippi nonprofit offering women’s programs, teen mentorship, community outreach, retreats and connections to outside resources.
Our story
Pain With Purpose Ministries grew from Founder Laranisha Cutolo’s lived experience of childhood trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence and poverty.
After an assault, she went to four hospitals before finding one equipped to provide the care she needed. That search showed her how confusing the system can be when someone is already hurting and does not know which door is the right one.
She could not change what happened, but she could build something that made the path clearer for someone else.
The wilderness had purpose
The Lord led Laranisha to Deuteronomy 8:1–3. She saw the children of Israel walking through a difficult and uncertain wilderness that was not their final destination.
As the chapter continues, it points toward provision and abundance. The pain was real and was never called good, but the wilderness did not have to be wasted. What she survived could become service to others.
How PWP was born
“I could not change what happened to me, but I could decide that pain would not be the only thing my life produced.”
Testimony became action through education, mentorship, retreats, outreach and resource connection.
PWP began serving on June 30, 2022. Pain With Purpose Ministries, Inc. was incorporated in Mississippi on November 7, 2025 and received federal recognition as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization in 2026.

Founder & Executive Director
Laranisha Cutolo is the Founder and Executive Director of Pain With Purpose Ministries, Inc. She is an author, licensed minister, chaplain, life coach, speaker and retreat facilitator. Her work helps women and teen girls strengthen their confidence, life skills, relationships and sense of direction.
As the wife of a retired U.S. Marine and part of a military family for more than 20 years, Laranisha understands the demands military service can place on veterans and their families. That perspective informs PWP’s commitment to connecting veterans and military families with appropriate resources when needs fall outside the ministry’s direct services.
She is the author of Little Girl, It’s Me: A 21-Day Journey. Through ministry, mentorship, retreats and community outreach, she works alongside PWP’s leadership, facilitators, advisors, volunteers and community partners to advance the organization’s mission.

A business owner, nonprofit founder and financial professional with more than 25 years of experience in financial management, organizational leadership and strategic development. She also brings experience in financial education, mentorship and faith-centered leadership.
Secretary • Facilitator & Speaker
A worship leader, speaker and facilitator who supports board records, communication, governance and accountability. She also contributes to hospitality and retreat coordination.
Chief Advisor • Facilitator & Speaker
Pastor of Agape Deliverance Ministries, licensed biblical counselor, author, speaker, facilitator and mentor. She provides spiritual counsel, leadership insight and ministry guidance.
Advisor • Facilitator & Speaker
A retired registered nurse, ordained minister, speaker, facilitator and mentor. She brings experience in nursing, ministry and guiding others through difficult seasons.
Advisor • Facilitator & Speaker
An Army veteran, licensed minister, speaker, facilitator and mentor with over 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant. She contributes military experience, ministry service and leadership guidance.
Advisor & Mentor • Facilitator & Speaker
A Navy veteran, licensed minister, mentor and skilled carpenter. He contributes veteran perspective, ministry service and practical mentorship.
